Doing dome research on my family name I really didn't find a definitive origin so I designed my family crest. I have a certain love for the letter form and doing these crest are always fun for me. Well fun and torture because finding the perfection in the form is always just a little out of reach.
Once I had it all designed and vectorized I took the paths into Cinema4D and made it into a 3 dimensional model. Once I have the model I can visualize this in many different forms and it helps me plan out my different thoughts for how I want to use this piece.
Lastly I printed it out on my 3D resin printer, threw some gold leaf on it and mounted it for my father.
